the wind that encircles you,
the darkness that seduces you,
the thoughts that torture you.
I am the tempter of fates,
the forgiver of sin,
the lust that drives you,
the heat that burns within.

In slumber I captivate you,
your sweetest dreams, your worst nightmares,
You cannot escape me,
nor do you want to,
for your destiny lies within me,
as mesmerizing as sunrise new,
you can't look away.
I am the path not taken,
and the past already written,
and I consume you,
like the love that you long for,
and the hate that you harbour.
I know your innermost secrets,
and deepest desires.
You fight me as your enemy,
then take me as your lover.

I am the one that pains your body and soul,
and the one that comforts and brings you peace.
I am your life,
and yet I decide your death,
with no beginning or end,
I am everything,
and I am nothing,
The tempter of fates.

For some reason, this gave me the creeps... but in a good way!

The lines "You cannot escape me/ nor do you want to/ for your destiny lies within me," especially. I don't know.. I liked it a lot!
