The Road

On the road going and going,
Its hot and long,
But one day I will arrive.
The road gets harder and harder,
No sitting back and relaxing,
No sleeping or laughing,
The road is going and going,
Must be ready for whatever is out there.
Eyes always looking,
Seeing but not believing,
Cars all around, closing in,
But the road is going and going,
Turning, up and down,
Rocky and twisted.
This road is rigid,
And it will never be better.
The road is going and going.
I must go with it,
I will never stop,
Never give in or pull out.
I will get there some day.
And the road is going and going.
