Array ( [sid] => 11633 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => With An Exuberant Embrace [time] => 2003-01-30 06:30:00 [hometext] => I wrote this for the woman that I am gonna marry to express how she not only changed my life for the better - but how grateful I am that she is in my life. [bodytext] => I once thought I was forever cursed
to wander amongst this earth alone
Adrift throughout time searching
for radiance in an aura of unlight
A veracious effigy of a fallen angel
abeyant in a mystical veil of clouds
Though vigilant to the world below
possesses no apparent gift of sight

Forged with the same tempered steel
as the swords sworn to protect it
My heart was further more empty
than the spurious smile on my face
You pierced this impervious fortress
armed only with a solemn promise
I will grasp onto our relationship
gallantly with an exuberant embrace

Until I first endured the frigid road
that guided me toward your presence
I may never have felt your warmth
that I cherish and faithfully respect
An inseparable union will enhance
the very lives we aspire to fulfill
As we create our elegant memories
upon which we can one day reflect

I now stand steadfast and brave
against the immeasurable distance
The dense fog once ahead of me
is merely an apparition of a mist
My soulless passages of the past
have become a vehement quest
Your undying love bestows me hope
and the inner strength to persist [comments] => 4 [counter] => 218 [topic] => 2 [informant] => ManowarManiac [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )
