the beauty i see in you is from the ugliness you show me
i wasn't lacking in comfort but in loneliness
its not the happiness i was missing but the misery
not order but chaos

i haven't been searching for myself
i've been looking for you and your imperfections
but in a way you are me, i know, i can tell
im not looking for the way but for misdirection
not sanity but dementia

we can be happy in misery
i know this cause i am you and you are me
you know this cause you're searching to be free
i dont need a perfect love to bind my soul
i need chaos in order to have control
so take my hand as i reach for yours

not freedom but imprisonment
not knowledge but stupidity
not wisdom but ignorance
its not love but you will do.

the greatest form of love for me

this is really strong, dark, and deep...you express an interesting emotion very well. i'm a little confused how it can be a poem about true love when it ends with 'its not love but you will do' - which suggests, to me at least, settling for second best. always hold out for the right one - you'll find them when you least expect it. anyway, great write - keep them coming - Kate xxx
