I held it tight to my face,
I had no choice
for lonely eyes gaze upon
memories
and a lonely nose
appreciates the smell of sweat.

Your fragrance still lingers
in the wool,
the shoulders remember
your curves,
the arms draped down my chest
and I remembered our nights alone.

And I sighed breaths of comfort
at the fibres that swept my skin
for they forced a tear
to slowly kiss my face. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 227 [topic] => 24 [informant] => eggflipper [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )

ah yes . . . I am akin to this type of nostalgia. This was a lovely
bit of poetry, albeit dripping with unmistakable sadness.
You have a wonderful way with words.

Incredibly moving this was ...

Simple, but moving and lyrical. A beautiful piece.

*sigh*

This is so sad... I love how you've said everything in this, how just that moment revealed so much to you.

As Andrew said, this is simple, but I do think it's very well done.

You write freestyle well.

Great write,
*hugs*
