Like a flower in winter,
Covered, immersed, frozen in ice,
Your heart is,
I long for you the way a flower longs for the spring sun.
I now have lived this story;
Two flowers, close so close,
Were together once,
But one went away,
Said he could’nt stay,
Left all alone, the flower of spring,
Did weep, did believe the lie.
A flower frozen from the past,
Knows no truth, nor warmth.
Oh flower so arctic in life,
Why did’nt you let the flower of spring,
From your prison of ice set you free?
With a love so unfathomable it needed no reason,
The flower of spring yearned to give,
One, only one, cold flower alone.
I dreamt of you,
Woke in immeasurable sorrow,
For you are not here.

I dreamt of you,
