has it ruined all the plans
has it taken something from you
was it hope, was it supposed to
feel this way everyday
I'm just wondering,
are you healing?
will that account for the absence
I'm outside the door
checking with a knock
you still there?
do you not care?
oh you do, you're supposed to
but then I think (it comes naturally)
about everything
and I know someting is amiss
I don't know if I want to be a party to this
but I got your back
I made the oath, there's still hope
you can be "hopelessly hopeful that I'm hopeless enough"
standing, maybe not understanding what
lies beneath caught underneath the lights
But I'll be here in the same spot through the fight
I wouldn't pretend to be anyone's best friend
and I write this with an honest heart
Those words (said) I will not let them leave any scars.

Great write, and i understood it, but i think it was a little hard to comprehend. It seemed like you danced around your words and you couldn't pin-point anything. Nonetheless, i liked it. ;-)
