Array ( [sid] => 115749 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => IN THE EVE OF SPRING [time] => 2006-03-03 10:25:33 [hometext] => have hope, happier days are coming- this is a poem i wrote last spring 2005-and was about to end a traumatising marriage-happier days do come indeed -but now i find myself having this hope again as i loose another man i loved deeper than i ever imagined [bodytext] => In the eve of spring,
The dafadills start blooming
From their little buds,
They push to open up
Still closed, they start spreading open
Peaking up at the sun light
At the crisp blue skies
The air is warmer
And spring is in the air
All is happy the earth is singing
It seems that brighter days are arriving
Hope is thriving
Then comes the bitter night of frost
A cold air does loft
Loft over the tiny little flower buds
That yet, are still, so tender
The frost blankets the new life springing from the earth
Killing the life that started to spread forth
Gloomy the extended days are
Tis cold and dead and dark
A life that had buds of spring,
Only to last a few mornings
Then- awakened to a new day
Spring is here to stay
The flowers suddenly bloom again
Covered in green are the mountains
And the trees filled with leaves
Birds are singing, and the sun is shining
Now … here is spring
Though frost had come with a surprise
And brought hopelessness to my eyes
The hope of spring returned after my enduring
I can always look forward to the days of spring
To spring forth peace and rest from my tormenting [comments] => 2 [counter] => 175 [topic] => 63 [informant] => Adelle [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => hbadday )
