People my own age
Being told that they're not good enough
With religion especially.
Race has been a problem
For an excruciating eternity.
Hopefully some day
It will take just a swish to make them welcome.
It's sad to see young people
Go though all that pain
Just because they're different
And unartificial.
This can be prevented
In so many ways.
Stand up for people
It will be appreciated. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 61 [informant] => XxKittyKat8239xX [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

I think you make a valid point here KittyKat

Older people are also discrimiated against as well so are single parent and people with disabilities.

I agree DISCRIMINATION Of Race Faith or creed also. thats why there is so much unrest in the world.

graet post If people do not speak out no changes will ever ber made.

KUDOS for this poem. God Bless you.

You wrote a very astute and uplifting poem. I remember when I was in 8th grade, which was a very long time ago, and there was a girl that was picked on mercilessly. Finally, after watching for far too many months, I stood up for her. That stopped the harassment for the rest of that year. Random, kind little deeds by the many would make such a difference in our world today. Your understanding of prejudice has already helped to make this world a better place.
