The path of life is crowded
With overgrown foliage
Tree limbs stretch across the opening

Rays of sunlight
Peek through the branches
Casting shadows in the distance

Grass grows between the patches
Of a much used right-of-way
An occasional four-leaf-clover can be spotted

The journey down this path is long
Complicated with narrow and steep terrain
One must stay focused to not get lost

Yet at journeys end
Rewards will be handed out
To those to finished faithfully

a picture of beauty you have painted with these words. This moved me. Seems we all have something in common this new year. A journey and a sprititual path awaits us all.
Thanks for this and the strength in its message.
Michelle

I really like the opening, as there's some high quality descriptive language that you use. Not sure if you're looking for criticism, but the end seems forced and truncated. To me, it seems like you were painting this great picture, and then you kind of just threw something into the foreground. I really liked the ambience, that bnears repeating; maybe I'm just not a fan of inspirational poetry, though : )

I also think it gets cut off at the end. The beginning has this great detail oriented imagery and it feels like there was more trying to be said. Either way the message is heard loud and clear at the end.
