Who will cry?
And who will just sigh?

If I kill myself,
Who will feel regret?
Wish they had done something?
Or will they just forget?

If it's a car crash,
Will I get a road side memorial?
Like you see on the news,
With flowers and stuffed animals.

If it's a slow death,
Say I get cancer
Or a tumor,
Who will sit by my side when I'm in the hospital bed?
And who will just pass along the juicy rumor?

Will my best friend be at my funeral?
Or does she have a family matter to attend?
Will the guy of my dreams even be there?
Or will I just have to pretend?

I shouldn't have to ask these questions.
I should know my friends are true.
But will my dying wishes be fulfilled?
Or haven;t I much time to lose?

Should I be making more of this life?
So I can give everyone something to miss?
Or am I just a hopeless nobody?
And my death will be unnoticed.

I sometimes want to experiment,
Just to see who will care.
Is there anyone that will give me the time of day
Just to say "Hey, I'm glad you're there"?

I can't help but wonder these impossible questions.
Will my whole class be there?
Or just a few close friends?
To tie up the ends.

It's sad to say
Death is the only way
To see who will give me the time of day.
Such a precious price to pay...

Since I'll probably end up in dismay. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 234 [topic] => 25 [informant] => Drapes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

IN THE NEVER ENDING SEARCH FOR SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN IN THIS BURNING CONFUSION WE CALL LIFE THERE ARE SO MANY QUESTIONS AND NOT ENOUGH SATISFYING ANSWERS....
WELL DONE.
