She walks with a stoop,
her whole body aches,
she only gets up for the kids sakes,
as she bends over she hears her back grind,
she yearns for the youth she left behind..
She looks in the mirror, does not recognize.
the wrinkled face, and baggy eyes,
who is that little old lady,
shes only 23 and just had a baby,
she forgot that it would be like this,
a good nights sleep, would really be bliss,
Thank goodness she was only dreaming,
she jumps out of bed the baby is screaming..

Nice ending to your poem. I guess it's true that sometimes children can be very demanding. |
