Array ( [sid] => 115376 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => For Paige [time] => 2006-02-25 08:01:21 [hometext] => I wrote this for my granddaughter, Paige. She died at the age of two on February 16th, 2002. [bodytext] => It was a cold
spring day
when she arrived.
So tiny,
so perfect and new.
Lovely little girl,
in an old world,
she changed
everything with
her sweet smile,
and her soft songs.
It was a cold
winters night
when she left us.
And we were
all sure,
the angels were
singing in welcome
to their newest member.
My soul cracked
that same night,
my heart broke.
Paige has gone,
and there is
no more singing,
nor sweet smiles
from her.
But her grandmother,
I can still feel
her loving prescence,
she is always near,
and sometimes late
in the evening,
her sweet songs
I can still hear.
My angel granddaughter,
watches over me still.

First of all I know this is a bit late, but this is the first I have seen you so Welcome To YPDC!

I adored this work. Though you write a dedication to someone whom you lost tragically. This is nothing short of uplifting and inspiring. I always find it so touching when someone can make a hero out of someone much younger than they are. Especially when that hero has passed.

I found this to be a bright spot on my day. A great work, which I am sure is being sung by angels to your granddaughter. Wonderful job!

Keep writing!

- SCM

MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU ! BUT I HOPE YOU FIND THESE WORDS ENCOURAGING ! EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY NEVER SEE YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER HERE ANY MORE THERE IS A HAPPIER MEETING PLACE FOR THOSE WHO KNOW JESUS CHRIST AND AS WE WRITE HE IS HOLDING HER IN HIS HANDS . THE PAIN OF A LOVED ONE THAT HAS GONE ON TO MEET JESUS IS NEVER EASY TO BARE NO MATER HOW OLD.IT'S PAINFUL AND NEVER FORGOTTEN BUT IF WE LIVE FOR JESUS WE WILL SEE THEM AGAIN. I CAN'T SAY I CAN SHARE YOUR GRIEF, BECAUSE MY GRANDDAUGHTERS ARE WITH ME AND I CAN'T
SYMPATHISE WITH YOU BUT I CAN PRAY FOR YOU I KNOW THROUGH GOD WE ARE MADE STRONGER. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU .

YOUR FRIEND: FUNNYFACE
