Array ( [sid] => 115353 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A CHRISTIAN'S PRAYER [time] => 2006-02-24 20:56:08 [hometext] => THIS POEM IS MY PRAYER FOR ALL WHO DON'T CHRIST COMMENTS ARE WELCOME THANKS: FUNNYFACE [bodytext] => SOMETIMES I SIT AND WONDER
JUST HOW THINGS MUST BE
UP THERE ON THE STREETS OF GLORY
BESIDE THE CRYSTAL SEA

I LIFT MY EYES TOWARD HEAVEN
AS TEARS STREAM DOWN MY FACE
I CAN SEE MY MOMA AND DADDY
AS THEY SING AMAZING GRACE

WE READ IN THE BIBLE
ABOUT THE STREETS OF GOLD
BUT I CAN'T IMAGINE
HE RICHES THAT'S UNTOLD
JESUS WENT TO PREPARE
A MANSION THERE FOR ME
AND I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THERE
HIS FACE I WANT TO SEE

SOMETIMES I SIT AND WONDER
WHY SINNERS CAN NOT SEE
THAT EARTHLY THINGS WILL PASS AWAY
BUT SALVATION HAS BEEN MADE FREE

SOMETIMES I GET DISCOURAGED
AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO
I KNEEL AND PRAY TO JESUS,
I KNOW HE'LL SEE ME THROUGH

I PRAY DEAR GOD, PLEASE LET ME
SEE MY FAMILY HERE BELOW
RECIEVE THE GIFT YOU GAVE TO THEM
SO MANY YEARS AGO
I PRAY FOR WORDS TO GUIDE THEM
AND HELP TO LEAD THEM IN
I JUST WANT TO INTRODUCE THEM TO
MY BEST AND DEAREST FRIEND !!!

very heartfelf. for some people, the cost seen, in terms of the persecution, is to great a cost to be able to see the path.

Thank you Jesus for giving us your power to feel you until one day we will get to see your beautiful face.. for now I see you with the lenses of my heart. Amen.. beautiful prayer.. to have Him in my heart fulfills me.. He is definately the Completion To My Soul.. as one of my poems I wrote in my earlier days, which I have revised over and over.. I still like the first one..

Completion To My Soul"

My heart cannot help but smile,
For now I'm thinking of you, my Lord
All the while angels mend together
A future that's meant for all of us

And as I sit here by myself,
I write to you this ode
To tell you that you're the part of me
I thought I'd never come to know

And quietly I'm crying right now
Because I realize I'll constantly hold
This smile upon my heart...'Til my final rest,
For you've made up the completion to my soul

The Great Norman Vincent Peal once wrote

In Times Of Discouragement, Your Friends Can be YOUR encouragement.

What greater Friend Have we In Jesus

I find your inspiration words very uplifting. Thanks for taking the time and effort ton share them on your poetry.

Dougnut.
