I miss the days when you were by my side
I could tell you things that I couldn't help but hide

You were there when I was sad
and when I need a friend
You calmed me when I was mad
But you were takened in the end

I felt so guilty when you died
and I held you close and cried

a fitting poem for a lost friend. I had to say goodbye to my 15 year old shepherd right after the new year-hugss Peace and Light

aww this is a very sad write and its wonderful that you were that close to your dog.. Im close to my dog too. beautiful write on that feeling of a friend I enjoyed this piece alot thanks for sharing
