A locket locked
A picture of us
An odor of dust
A typical plus
An advantage of such
Relationship hush

Hush
Impatient in trust
Waiting with anger
Somber in savior
Symbols of lavender
Scents of things-
In front of her
Keep her composure
Enclosed in October
Toes frozen over
Those were my shoulders
Tear stained
Stains worn older
Pains shown colder
Detain my implosive nature
Now in the never

Here and there
Two lovers come in a pair
Come here to dare
Each other to bare
Their naked souls
Their self- imposed
Maternal care
Carefree kisses
In spring air
Dizziness
Vision impaired
Incision blurry
Red eyed
A cat compared
Impressive
Progressive
Self declared

I like the tempo and rythm of this but am not clear about the overall meaning of the poem. Please explain.

If you had a poetry book published, I would highly recommend it be slapped with an "Expect the unexpected" label. I can't think of a more befitting way to describe your extraordinary work. Poems such as this one; with the clipped, yet clever rhymes, is your basic stamp (in my opinion). I like to occasionally give a nod in your direction to this 'stamp' of yours, as it makes me smile. It's like a morning stretch to your incredible writes...It seems to come about so naturally, yet it is just the start of your day. I mean that as a compliment in every way. Good stuff!
