And never is

A tooth fairy
An easter bunny
No common courtesy
Just moral immunity

Lies become living myths
Living legends
In our midst
Stories of creatures
Our preachers, teach us
Stories of fiction
A poor predication
The kingdom never arrived

And never will
Here we are still

Bring me the proof
Documented text
A personal account
Of goals ever being met
A believable story
One with an ending
We can relate
We can associate
The characters
As they become the epilogue
Stepping from the night
Into the sinking fog

Sink it does
Lower into the dust

Go back to work
And rethink this joke
Relight this page
To read what you wrote
Not here to insult
This is not the place
Or proper venue
For a revolting revolt

It sickens
And gets sicker

Stay off the booze
I don’t even know her
And you want me to liquor
With my tongue?
With this fork
Or should we spoon
The table is set
Nothing to eat off
The plates
We often forget

Hunger strikes
Hungrier tomorrow

Irrespective
Contrary belief
Show me the crook
And I will bring you the thief
A concoction of lies is cooked
On empty stomachs our children feed
