Array ( [sid] => 114779 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Frog Song [time] => 2006-02-13 23:46:37 [hometext] => This is the poem version of a song I wrote, its a happy song with a twist at the end. Question - what would some one do if they found the frog prince these days? [bodytext] => Once I was walking through the swamp
Came across a strange little frog
A golden crown upon his head
Sitting there on a log

And that frog did tell to me
All of his sad little tale
All about a wicked witch
and her evil spell

Once he lived in a great big castle
Once he was a fair Prince
Then he was turned into a frog
And now all he needs is a kiss

The Prince did frolic about the land
Enjoying himself in the sun
Then he did meet with a wicked witch
Who didn't like others having fun

Then she did turn that man to a frog
And said if you again want to be a Prince
You have to get a kiss from a pretty girl
And none have wanted to kiss him since

Once he did live in a great big castle
Once he was a fair Prince
Then he was turned into a frog
And now all he needs is a kiss

I told that frog I knew a girl
Who just might kiss him true
Then I saw a little sparkle
In his eyes of blue

I took that frog right home with me
Told him he needed to look his best
I gave him something to help him sleep
And told him to get some rest

Later that night my wife and me
We had a royal feast
Now that frog ain't got no legs
But he still needs a kiss

Once he lived in a great big castle
Once he was a fair Prince
Then he was turned into a frog
And now all he needs, is legs and a kiss

Poor poor frog. Reality sure took hold of him.
I like the twist. It makes me think.
Great writing as simplicity shows true moral.
