I wrote it in French as that is his first language. I must appologise for any gramatical or spelling errors in the poem!! I also would like to say that it may not be all that good, as I haven't really written poetry in the French language and this is my first major attempt. Maybe my next one will be a little better!! J’ai besoin de toi
Sans toi je suis une fleur vent,
L’âme qui tombe de n’été jamais aimé,
Je suis le petit nuage qui se sent seule dans l’énormité de la toile
Du ciel.
La petite étoile qui est perdue parmi la lune obscure.
Je suis comme l’oiseau qui n’avait pas envie à voler.

Ou reste mon doux bête
Tu es perdu dans ce monde,
Mes rêves sont pleins d’espérance,
Tu es mon Bebert qui est descendu des étoiles,
Mon petit ange a choisi à voler avec ma dernière espérance
Quand je te trouverai,
Je sais qui je pourrai dormir au calme
Laissez moi dormir à côté de mon Bebert !!!
Ô doux Bebert !!! J’espère te garder près de moi
Toujours, à partir de ce jour
Bras au bras, ton cher cœur au côté de mon cœur affligé.
Reviens-moi !!! et calmer mon sommeil

Bebert

J’ai besoin de toi

as on who studied French for many years -- but never learned much it seems pretty fair.

on the other hand it shows a collosal effort and a real commitment, to write a poem for someone in a language not your own--
