The person who is 'bristly' and says do not come near
How do you listen when silence is there
When all you sense is the hate in the air
How do you approach him with a love from the heart
When he closes his mind to remain in the dark
What do you say - a difference to make
To bring a cheer to his heart for love's sake
I know that You, Jesus, showed us the way
But somehow I missed it - what shall I say
To remain silent only makes anger grow
To say anthing at all brings glares also
I don't understand what you want me to do
I gotta seek You, Lord, and try to pray through
I know that You promised that this, too, will pass
Lord, please show him the peace that truly will last
And if you wouldn't mind, could you also change me
To accept Your purpose and plan for me to be
Even though the future is still foggy ahead
Yet I know I can always lean on You instead
Thank You, My Lord, for always being there when I need You
I couldn't go on without Your love to see me through!
You make this difficult time less difficult so it seems
I know this will pass quickly when You are there by all means [comments] => 3 [counter] => 153 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Lin54 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
