[time] => 2002-07-26 06:40:20
[hometext] => Born Jacqueline Esme Twine on 1st May 1960
in the Assunta Foundation, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Born of British Nationality, I came home to the United Kingdom just before my 1st Christmas. At the age of 10 I began going to piano lessons and grew into a love of music, having passed Grade 3 in piano, at the Cheltenham Royal School Of Music and am now working hard towards Grade 4. At the age of 16, I began writing poetry and always had an ambition of publishing a book "SOME OF ME POEMS" with an autobiography included in the book. Whilst at college I entered a poem into a poetry competition, in which I came third to my amazement. I have continued to write poetry ever since then, and I have also now gone into song-writing. Music, Poetry and songwriting are all very special interests of mine. When ever I am inspired by something or someone, out comes the pen in which I quickly put to paper. This poem OH WHERE THY EXMOOR PONIES ROAM actually comes from a day out. An earlier poem I wrote about my hero Leo Sayer, titled "A LEGEND AND A DJ" I actually sent away to a recording studio and found someone who put some music to my poem and the poem was narrated by Lisa Allen. Also during a word processing course my tutor got me to write an article about my life story in which I did and I included my poem "A LEGEND AND A DJ" in the article I also said that this poem awarded me as a Semi-Finalist In the International Society Of Poets. My article was published in a local newspaper. JACQUELINE ESME TWINE...... [bodytext] => Those Novels of Lorna Doon My mother once read as a child, Clusters of Lilac Heather and Yellow Gorse Among thy bracken grow so wild. High above cloudless skies, sun shines Down below there's the deep blue sea, 'Tis the way of life for some that's true, Tho' for me, it's only a dream, a fantasy. Dramatic cliff rocks Descend from Porlock Hill And in the far distance lies Clovelly and Lymouth, where time stands still. Colour washed cottages On cobbled streets I see And there's ye olde church Which remains in the valley " Oh How I Wish that I could really call this home, And as we drive o'er ye moors, O' Where Thy Exmoor Ponies Roam".....
