[bodytext] => Oh beauty of stone and secret dreams Weathered by time and natures extremes, Worshipped in whimsy’s of chimera mind By dreamers whom love has oft left behind. Does the poet while searching for verse Seek out your charm to quench his old thirst, To pen lissome words that make lovers sigh Or tightly embrace while softly they cry. Have ever you stole a secret kiss From endless hours of times abyss, To brighten a vigil of lonely years And lighten a burden of unshed tears. ‘O child of man’s creative desire That burns his soul with effulgent fire, Long may you stand, so majestic and pale While wearing Sol’s gift, a bright golden veil.
