I've grown bitter,
Walk, Come hither with me.
Talk, man I can't even breath easily.

The anger chews,
come take a walk in my shoes.
We live in a world where we're embraced to kill,
and sometimes I can't even find the will
to continue.
Walk, Come hither with me to see what I've been thru.

On the road of life, there are the speed bumps and pot holes,
People walk its streets with weeping souls
and at some point we've got to pay our tolls.
I'm surprised as we grow old, we still have a heart.
I cry and pray in the dark,
and wish I just could press restart.

To use the end to begin,
Find the pain and drive within,
Come walk in-my shoes,
it feels like I never win, and I always loose.
Uncontrolled anger- it seems like I'm always mad
and I miss what I never even had.
People work for a new necklace,
some shun the young and the restless,
the fun and the reckless.
Sometimes I just feel helpless.

I need to rest,
Come hither with me,
you can take me figurative or literally.
Walk, come hither with me.
I just need to clear my head.
To focus on now rather than what lies ahead.
Listen to what I've said,
the risk takers might not live long, but the cautious never live at all.
The higher we're up the harder and farther we fall.
I've been through it all,
and I just want someone to know who I truely am,
not to just know the end, but to know where I began.

So now I ask,
for you to come walk, come hither with me-
Lets take a walk into my past.
The life-long song that I've sung.
Lets walk into own setting sun.
The good die young,
I'm tired from the troubling races I've run.
I'm not divided, I've lived and become one.

Confusioin, over time we become dissilusioned.
We never gain as much as we're losin'.
It clouds our dreams and leaves us with a maybe...
Time passes and we wither,
and learn to use every heart beet, now come hither-
come walk this cold street with me. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 212 [topic] => 21 [informant] => moses [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Time passes and we wither,
and learn to use every heart beet, now come hither-

Simply mind blowing. An outstanding and well executed write. 5 shining stars for u.

So true, it's really true, all you say is true, but there is a better way in Christ (minus religion). If Christ the perfect sacrifice for all man kind suffered, then perhaps all suffering should lead to Christ; lest we become more like a spinning top going round and round in circles, always in the same place. Christ is the only one who said: "I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE."

Very good read and thought-provoking muse; thank you for sharing with us.

This poem reminds me of a song
or rap. It’s written very well,
and really hits the reader hard.
Excellent exploration of the ills
of today’s society. Brilliant write!
