But all I can see is rain
I never thought that I'd never not want to know
My perfect world is unraveling each day
Why, again, is this happening?

The flakes of snow are liars
Everyone thinks that they fall silently
Despite all of their wispy white grandeur
If you listen closely enough, you can hear their thunder
How many people have tried?

I thought you were blind
I thought you were oblivious and harmless
And after all these years I find
That you were just waiting for the perfect time to tell me
For how long have you been lying?

I didn't want this to happen
But this is how it must be
I suppose it never could have worked
If you never learned to trust me
How the hell can you sleep at night?

If you never learned to trust me
How the hell can you sleep at night?

I've come to know the ones that sleep like babies sometimes are theones we need to avoid.
Great writing.
huggs,
emy
