lonely as can be
little did i know then that God was
sittin next to me
he knows how to brighten the day
when all i see is blue
and i know that my God will always
come through

i went from the bottom to the top
and to the bottom again
trough all of the ups and downs i've had
only one true friend
a friend that'll be here for me no matter
what i say or do
it's good to know my God will always
come through

i've done my share of living and i have
had some fun
and i've done most of that living out here
on the run
my old man is up there in heavon and
someday i will be too
cause i know that when my day has come
my God will come through

Simple and poetic in the sweetest of ways. I enojyed this write. I feel inspired. I also had an experience in jail where Christ got me through. The Lord is indeed the only true friend any of us have. Thanks for your words.
