Array ( [sid] => 114195 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Talk about the weather??? [time] => 2006-02-03 11:22:12 [hometext] => With nothing to do and feeling goofy--I wrote this [bodytext] => Let's talk about the weather. Let's talk about the day.
It's raining, It's raining, again--It's raining, I say
The skies are all cloudy and grey and continue to be
I look for the silver lining--that's what I'd like to see
Does this sound like just another 'so-so-down' poem to you?
Well it isn't really--just looking for something to do
I'm done with my work and seeking something funny and worthwhile
So hoepfully, if I look far enough--I'll give you a smile
Maybe I could come up with a humming drum song
That goes to the rain-beat and you can sing along
With a pitter and a patter, a dripping-dripping smatter
What is wrong with this rhyme--Does it really, really matter?
You can either get wet or hide away all day
I won't melt--I almost want to get wet, okay?
This isn't my usual type of poem, I will admit
But it's much better than doing nothing but sit
Maybe we should send some of this wet stuff down south
I hear they are hurting from way too much dry----mouth???
Are you smiling yet from this silly bunch of words
Or do I go on and pretend I haven't heard
My daughter thinks I'm crazy and this will convince her
Yet she still loves me even when I embarrass her
I think this silliness has gone on way too long
Let me know if you are smiling at this ding dong [comments] => 1 [counter] => 192 [topic] => 7 [informant] => Lin54 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 2 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )
