I try to explain it, but we lost it from the start.
I want to take back all the things i never meant to say.
I wish i could have saved you for another rainy day.
But people change,
We found that out the hard way...
People change,
No matter what they say...

Do you ever think of me, I can't get you off my mind.
The people we used to be, a time i called you mine.
And how i felt so bad, the minute you were gone.
Why did you leave us-You've been gone for so long.
But people change,
We found that out the hard way...
People change,
Yet still i pray...

Someday you'll come back home, i'll be waiting here Alone.
I'll look into your big blue eyes and say "Thanks for comin' home."
And then you'll hug me, and whisper in my ear...
"Gee sis i missed you, it's been hard without you all these years,
But people change,
I found that out the hard way...
People change,
But now i'm home to stay..."

Then with a smile, a tear rolls down my face,
Oh how i missed this, your tender, warm embrace...
Life got so lonely without you by my side.
You always helped me dry every tear i ever cried.
But things have changed,
We found it out the hard way...
People change,
But now your home to stay,
And your my brother just the same,
I'll always love you still the same... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 506 [topic] => 48 [informant] => hisprettygirl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Beautifully touching....I am so sorry for your loss.
The repetition in the poem added to it's depth.
