Though arguing is fine
I’m not the strongest girl around
But I still ride for mine

Now I got this message
It’s so out of the blue
Scared out of my mind
I just don’t know what to do

I’ve never fought before
But I don’t want to be a punk
I don’t understand why
But it’s me who she wants to ***** up

I’m shaking in my skin
Nerves jump, hear my heart pound
I’m praying that it’s a dream
I’m not ready for a beat down

If it were my friend she wanted
I would jump right in and fight
Don’t care if I get hurt
Such a terrible sight

But now that its me
Something doesn’t click
I cant fight for myself
And I just don’t understand it.

It's so easy to go for someone else-
and it's easy when it's a reflex to a situation.

When it's about you and you know it's coming you have to much time to think-
If the person has reason, stop them with your words - your good at writing, if that works, if not try talking.
If that's not an option -realize that you're already smarter than them, and apparently a loyal friend to others. Avoid it or head em off, but make it yours , not theirs.
And always be on the side of right- and you'll never lose -might take a beating but you won't lose -
Good luck!

I agree with everything that dc in the first posted comment said.
Jumping to someone else's defence is easy in the heat of a moment, I've done it before.
But something personal shakes your core.
Stay strong and stay true to you.
By the way, very well written poem (could have been written about me).
As dc said, use your words, you have great skill.
