spendin' time with my old friend
these blues are weary and more than i can take
all this pain over one mistake
I can't help it if i let you down
I would make it all up to you if you'd just come back around
cause no one likes how it feels to be set free

(chorus)
so won't you come and rescue me
come and take these blues away
all I need is to hear you say
say that you love me still
like you did once before
and I'll stand here waiting...waitng by the door

Vrs.2
last night your memory filled up my head
this morning I could barely roll out of bed
so I got in the car and drove to the bar
with the flashing neon sign
the keeper said "come on in my I'll be your friend
and I'll keep you feelin' fine"
and lonely is the feeling of being set free
(chorus)

Vrs.3
I'm beggin you now the best way I know how
down here on my shakey knees
I've done all I know and I'm beggin' you please
cause I can't go on if you don't come back home
life just aint worth livin' if you're livin' alone
and nobody likes the feeling of being set free

so maybe you could come and rescue me
come and take these blues away
all I need is to hear you say
say that you love me still
like you did once before
and I'll stand here waiting...waiting by the door
you can help me shake this feeling of bein set free

I like this and think it would go nicely with a tune. You need to keep going with these I think something wonderful could come out of it. Loved the context within the words, very emotional and carried me along
