Array ( [sid] => 113478 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A Silent Battle [time] => 2006-01-19 20:04:09 [hometext] => I've been digging through all my old poetry and am really liking what I come up with. This is a good, but emotional poem. [bodytext] => Image hosted by Photobucket.com

So now she waits. What comes now in darkness creeping, she does not know, but still waits… and waits until the snow. In bland contrast to the world around her, she fights a silent battle. She fights for her sanity and a life she is not ready to die for.
Oh darkness take me! She cries. Take me where no other dares to go! Hide me so that I may watch, but none will ever know. She holds onto the last shreds of her humanity; falling away into the insanity and chaos of her mind. She waits; calm, yet, always screaming inside….
Always building the glass walls of which she hides and shattering them as if blind. Always waking to find death curled at her side.
Never, though, does she give in. Fighting for all she was and all she loved she never dies. She never gives in; she is strong and stays alive. Yet, days are creeping and time is deepening… her lives are running short.
Fading, her gaze wanders. Her mind starts to fall away, but she fights, but her strength gives in and she in darkness dies. Waking always to find she was already dead and now has just become alive.
So now she waits. What comes now in darkness creeping, she already knows. In bland contrast to the world, she fights a silent battle. She fights a battle for a life she is not ready to die for.

I think many have been down this road, I know I have, and all must fight hard, until one day, the light will lift us up out of this darkness that surrounds us at times.. very good write, I loved it, honest, and many can relate to this .. I pray all will want to strive to live.. and then the real life comes soon, eternal life... Raquel Leah
