Array ( [sid] => 11341 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Your Song, Your Night [time] => 2003-01-26 14:20:00 [hometext] => This poem is just about music and how it helps everyone, through good times and bad. Thanks for reading. [bodytext] => A display blinks on through the night, blinking for you.
This is your song, helping you make it through.
You listen to it whether you’re sad or grand.
But it’s yours, listen, let it hold your hand.
Let it guide you through the night, because it’s all you have left.
No friends or family know how it feels to be you. Music is all that is left.

Your song hits its chorus, as you scream its lyrics out of key
This is the only thing that understands you, only it can see.
To see everything you are, and what you dream of.
Everything you want and desire
It’s here for you; play it on repeat.
Repeat it all through your night
Hope that everything will turn out all right

Every time you feel bad, you know it’s always there
It’s just waiting for you, because it’s the only one who cares.
To care about your emotions, because it’s everything you are.
Your night is ending, home is not too far.
Take the long way home, to hear it just once more
It’s your song, your night, your love, your light.
Let it guide you, let it be your blanket through.
To guide you through your night, because it’s yours, let it be you.

Wow...I love this! I truly do. I completely understand exactly what you're saying, because to me, music is therapy, escape, the only thing that's always there when everything else is gone. It's amazing, the power of music. Sorry if I'm rambling, but I have strong feelings about this. Music is the one thing that's always been there for me and that I've always been able to turn to through everything, all my life. I'm so glad someone else sees what I do in music! lol...I can't even explain what I'm trying to say, but I'm sure you understand.
