Falling

Contributed by desolantdreamer on Wednesday, 18th January 2006 @ 04:12:36 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Whispering wind blows secrets into my hair
Flailing it about manically is a dance of breath
I am falling down this winding crevasse
And into the bottomless pit of anguish
Red velvet rose petals float down in demise
From the once-green stem of a lullaby
The sighing flowers wave at me
Mocking me as I fly downward towards the chasm of depression
A sun-bleached face of sheer delight
With eyes full of sunshine light
A face Aphrodite herself could not help but love
Looks down upon my heartbreak transient but strong
Not a tear in your sparkling eyes
Or a worry wrinkled in your flawless face
Why did you push me so far over the edge?
You laugh at me so maliciously with no regret
Tumbling downward into a pool of tears
With a broken heart as my torn parachute
I will not emerge from this fall
I know my end is at the bottom
But, like the captain for her ship, I will go down
For one will do anything for love

why is it that people are so cruel when all they have to do is be honest especially when they know someone loves them...

Good poem

great writing! i love the fact that it's full of imagery
and strong sense of direction too.

A sun-bleached face of sheer delight
With eyes full of sunshine light
A face Aphrodite herself could not help but love

It's just a small snippet of a great tapestry
thanks for sharing and take care!
