I have no sympathy
left
Lost it all
years ago
too many tales
get locked
inside
Go on away
from here
Don't you smell
my fear?
I am no use to you
at all

Try to walk along
in my footsteps
I wont blink
when you fall
Turn my head
let you flee
the maddening
scene
you can't help me

You must retreat
While you still possess
your sanity

Laura, I think to be a poet ... one must sometimes be willing to embrace the insane. So ... that said ... I a'inta goin nowhere ... LOL. Some of the more self aware write I have ... were just that, self directed. It is OK to be dissappointed in or at oneself, the challenge is to not go there the same way again.

No one really understand what we go through, until they walk a month in our shoes.

Great poem.

hippynurse

Sometimes we are lost in ourselves and feel we have nowhere to turn.
Your choice of words make this very clear.
We eventually come out of it and move on.
nicely said.

Laura .. I have to agree with snazzy on this one. It IS
okay to feel disappointment in ourselves. And writing
about it MUST be therapeutic as well. We only need
to forgive ourselves to begin the healing.

We are human. We are flawed , and we are not always
going to do everything to perfection (as WE would see fit!)

This is a wonderful write of the anguish we feel when
frustrated with ourselves and know not where to go
from there ..

I have been here

*hugs*
