Leaving most pleasant shadows
Her hands softly wiped his sweat away
As she held him to her bosom

She felt him slipping away
Now tears flowed freely
They could pretend no more
That all would be fine

She had loved him for so long
But time would not let them be together
Finally they got a chance
And now this happened

It was for her honor he would die
For he fought valiantly to spare her
A fate worse than death herself
Her father had betrothed her

To a drunken filthy old noblemen
For the title to a piece of farmland
So her love tried to spirit her away
But the nobleman found them

A duel ensued he was struck in the heart
But at the same time he finished off the nobleman
So now the lovers last moments were spent
In an old barn far from the town

Her heart broken she held him as he died
Then in sorrow she gave up her last breath
When they found them there were flowers all around
One for every tear she cried from a heart so true
