A quiver through her did flow like a stream
Where had he come from what brought him here
She stared like a doe in headlights paralyzed with fear

He walked over to her and asked her to dance
She melted in his arms she never had a chance
Her heart was already his it had been for years
As a child he had once kissed away her tears

He was a friend of her older brothers
So different from all the others
Sensitive to her moods and scenes
He was never ever to her mean

Ten years have passed since she saw him
Her memories of him never dimmed
Time makes age difference seem smaller
And now she was a good foot taller

He looked in her eyes and saw a tear
He smiled and kissed away all her fear
Reminding her she owed him a date
Even though it was many years late

The wedding was the following fall
He waited for her as he said after all
Her brother was the man that was best
Her love had passed the maturity test

They had children three
Spread out as was her brother and she
She smiled as she watched them play
As a friend kissed her daughters tears away

That was very very nice. Really liked the way you showed the progression through their lives as the poem told the story.

Thank you,

Tim
