The stars twinkled by and by
Forming patterns of diamond light
In the dark recesses of the night

Across the heavens like a streak
A shooting star took a peak
At the world down below
And decided to make its wish grow

For all of the earth to be filled with love
This was its desire for us from above
Peace, Harmony and Tranquility
This is what the little star hoped would be

Now this star gave up its life
Hoping to end worldly strife
So when you see a star descend
It might be our little friend

oh thank you for letting me know of this poem, and it is delightful, and it is so tender, I felt that tear pinch in my heart.. reminds us all to be good and love our little hearts out for our little star friend who gave up His life for us, so we could be rich in all love, peace and joy, harmony, I love the Shooting Star with all my heart.
Thank you for this blessed write Raquel Leah
