however the reds and blues have holes
and you paint yourself into a corner
everytime the truth comes close
Uncertainty tugs at my stitches
threatening to undo the seams
Shadows plague your pictures
as you create a different scheme
You force me into this circle
everytime you spin me a line
and I'm left holding on by a thread
that dangles on the hook of your lies
You meticulously select the letters
and carefully plan your attack
You promise things will get better
and I continue to go back
Where do I draw the line
between lies and what is real?
When will I have more to go on
instead of how my gut feels?
How can I see past this shadow
this permanent cloak of betrayal
that you suffocate me with
every time that you seem to fail [comments] => 3 [counter] => 204 [topic] => 65 [informant] => AnastasiaN [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )

when I finished reading, i thought you'd read my mind, but i'm sure many would feel the same as we all love someone and we all lie.
what makes it difficult in my opinion is trust, and once we agreed to trust, it feels as if we lose control over it as the time passes on.
I love your rhymes and you created a clear and detailed imageray of the world of words, truth and lies.
Thank you for sharing this

Yes, this really hit the nail on the head...so to speak. I cannot stand a liar...one of my biggest pet peeves. For some, honesty seems miles away. Great write. Peace. Laura
