Once I had a pet named Mr. Fritter-
Who was a funny looking critter-
For he was fuzzy and slightly blue-
And how he got that way I haven’t a clue…

His house was made from a mason jar-
Which I found under our rusty old car-
And it seemed to be for him just right-
For it was the perfect height…

He used to climb in the grass and play-
And throughout the day that is where he would stay-
Then at dark he would look up into the sky-
And wish that someday he would learn to fly…

But then he began to hide from me-
But then one day in his house I did see-
Standing before me was such a beautiful sight-
Mr. Fritter had wings and colors so bright....

This is so cute!!!The story of a caterpillar that morphs into a magnificent butterfly. Beautiful.
