The wonderful news has gone all around the old town.
The Fairy Queen, God Bless Her, Has got a new crown.
The Leprechauns made it in a secret place late at night.
Her Majesty most graciously received it with great delight.
The jewels came from the Fairies in far Japan over the seas.
The pearls I swear were bigger than ripe fresh garden peas.
The Fairies sent diamonds from South Africa so far away.
Rubies sent the Indian Fairies who often came here to play.
The ceremony took place here in my back garden Fairyland.
The show was a spectacle that was ever so posh and grand.
All the little Folk came from all over the World to this event.
Most of the Fairies I let sleep in my old green Boy Scout’s tent.
Dancing and singing and a most wonderful dainty Fairy feast.
The buns and cakes all were I know made without any yeast.
There was the sweetest of fresh elderberry wines to drink.
I did all of the washing up of dishes at my old kitchen sink.
Sitting next to Her Majesty the Leprechauns smiled away.
This was for them in their green suits a most honourable day.
The Fairy Queen thanked all the fairies and the leprechauns.
I left the feasting at four in the morning because of my yawns.
I went back home to the comfortable four-poster bed upstairs.
In my old back kitchen I fell over one of my kitchen chairs.
I slept until ten o’clock in the morning of the very next day.
I was feeling so happy and content this is all I have to say.
