Eyes piercing black as night
Running her cloak flowing behind
She reaches the edge and takes flight

Watching he is mesmerized
As she morphs before his eyes
Flying soaring free on high
Surely if caught spying he will die

His heart light as he watches
Her circling high aloft
She dives close barely touching
Her feathers silky and soft

Then high above she climbs
Exploding into a mass of shooting stars
Leaving a wonderful vision
For many to see near and far

Now with every raven’s call
Or the stars go shooting by
He recalls that mysterious maiden
And with awe lets out a sigh

Marvelous Shari, what a delightful concept! My Mind's Eye saw everything, and even heard his sigh! I don't know what it was that "turned you on" but these poems are great, and hope you aren't turned off for our sakes!
Bravo!
Warm love

I like this very much. So much imagery and imagination...and yearning...that is what it stirs within me
