[hometext] => this poem isnt word for word, but I hope it helps explain what jesus did on the cross for you.
[bodytext] => In the city in the desert in the country by the sea, They whipped and scorned and beat a man they called the Nazarene. And as the palm fronds wilted, as the streets ran thick with blood, This man, this king of earth and jews fell face first in the mud. He toiled and struggled up the hill, as disciples cried out loud, But their songs of helpless anguish were drowned out by the crowd He made it to the hilltop, and for the whole world to see, They drove nails into the hands and feet of the god on Calvary. Any time he wanted, he could have been saved, But in turn he saved the world- he took the road which god had paved. and the angels and his father, in sorrow they all cried, He said, 'To sin and those it masters, watch my blood teach death to die!' and he then went down unto hell, and a chorus rose from souls he freed three days later he rose again, and proved that death had died indeed.
