Array ( [sid] => 112540 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => X-Mas [time] => 2006-01-04 10:45:55 [hometext] => This is what I think about the X-mas season [bodytext] => X-Mas is the time of the year where we all unselfishly buy materialistic items for others in hopes they will buy us the materialistic items that we want. It is the one time of

year where joy and love are symbols all around in decorations on our houses and in our yards.

X-mas is not a religious holiday anymore! X-mas is not a religious holiday anymore! X-mas is not a religious holiday anymore! X-mas in the states is now the biggest
symbol of what we have become: greedy, crazy, materialistic, selfish beings! X-mas is not joyous for anyone who works in retail, for anyone who shops and for anyone
who drives. The traffic, the chaos, the lines, the worst in man comes out in this time of year. The story of Santa Claws is the perfect example: Santa Claws was not a
real person he is a metaphor of what we are! His weight problem represents our greed. Rudolph's abnormal nose represents the abnormal way we act in the stores and
to other human beings. Santa's helpers represents the retail workers working to the bone because of the extra business they get, and his nice/naughty list is used to
manipulate children's behavior to keep them from bugging their parents while they shop. X-mas carols are sung with lyrics like "peace on Earth, good will towards
men." Which are good lyrics but those morals should be practiced all year long! Those morals should be practiced all year long! Those morals should be practiced all
year long! Good will towards man, why only for two months a year? Is it not important to be kind in March? It is important to be kind all year long! Not for Santa but
for ourselves. If we were kind all year long we would have less hatred in the world! We would have less hatred in the world! We would have less hatred in the world!
X-mas is nothing more than capitolism's celebration of being alive! X-mas is fake! X-mas is violent!

X-mas is not joyous or peaceful like the lyrics promote! X-mas sucks!

amen to that!
The joy and good will should be practiced year round.
Sadly we live in a material world.

Nice to hear your thoughts
