Array ( [sid] => 112527 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Remember November? [time] => 2006-01-04 02:21:21 [hometext] => This is about a relationship between two people that have previously been hurt by former lovers -- however, their relationship eventually goes sour for all the same reasons that it started in the first place. Darrin is real and I loathe him. [bodytext] => Darrin, I remember the first day we met--
smoking by the brick wall, where there fell a silhouette.
It wasn't really raining, yet there was no sunshine shining,
the sky was full of clouds, each without a silver lining--
just me, you, a lighter,
and a friendship that burned brighter
than the fury and the flinching
of our trust.

Darrin, I remember being your best friend--
defending and offending you until the very end.
We were buddies both alike through a likeness not the same,
we changed and grew together 'til we knew not what became
of all the silly liars
who had burnt us all with fires
from the using and abusing flames
of love.

Darrin, I remember being your fourth kiss--
then blindly giving you some things I never thought I'd miss.
I somehow knew that you would be the one I loved forever,
that one someone with ties to which I'd never need to sever...
and I knew that you returned
to me a love that burned
from the hollow hallowed walls
of your soul.

Darrin, I remember when you broke my heart--
like our friendship was a contract that you had to tear apart...
Through want or like or season, though, you soon resort to treason--
commanding and demanding me for no such greater reason
than to treat me like a child and to close my sense of choice,
my same voice that once sang to you now screams against your voice.
I don't want to hear it, I don't want a damn excuse--
I don't want to hear you try to justify abuse.
I don't want to hear, remember, see or think, amend--
I only swore I'd be your friend until the very end...
and this, Darrin, is the end. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 197 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Freak-of-the-Week [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
