Array ( [sid] => 11252 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Oh! Lord [time] => 2003-01-25 20:20:00 [hometext] => Many times I look up at the blue sky and say ” Hey you!! Up there, the almighty why don’t you come down once and see how your loved one is faring in life.” This poem is all about that and much more. [bodytext] => Oh! Lord why did you make me so small?
People just come, make fun of me and have a ball.

Oh! Lord why did you make me sensitive?
Anyone and anything hurts my fragile heart and people call me a crybaby.

Oh! Lord why do you always make me feel so insecure?
I don’t know what I should expect the next, everyday feels like that of a person a float in the sea after a ship wreck.

Oh! Lord why did you make me innocent?
Everyone takes me for a ride,
What’s the use of this innonce?

Oh! Lord
Why do people say that I am dumb?
Am I so bad creation of yours that people look at me as if on my back I have a huge hump.

Oh! Lord why did you give me the sweetness of life?
It’s so short, that I fail to even realize when it comes and when it passes by.

Oh! Lord for years I have been lonely?
I know you have made me so very special that I will always remain lonely.

Oh! Lord thanks for giving me the power to express my self in words and for making me a poet.
Poetry is the world where I never feel lonely,
My thoughts are my best friends and they have made me a poet.

Oh! Lord thanks for making me struggle at every step of life.
At least I will never forget that you are the almighty who gave me this life.

Oh! Lord thanks for giving me financial crunches,
It has made me a miser and people dislike me like hell.

So many minuses and a few pluses,
Why me lord?

You will say “ Son, everyone ask’s me the same question? “
My answer is the same “ I love you all equally, but if I serve you everything on the platter, will you remember me? “
I said “ if you love all equally, why did you make me ultra sensitive, insecure, innocent, dumb& lonely. “
Why?

Thanks; spread your wings for liking my poem. In a sense glad to know that our feelings are mutual. I feel life is nothing but questions to be answered by us until the inevitable happens.

Hi! Christina thanks for liking my poem and also for writing in that you will be reading it again and again. Frankly when you wrote that you will be reading it again and again I felt really very humble deep down in my heart and also felt thankful to the almighty who gave me the boon of writing poems and of touching people’s hearts with my poems.
