Where her heart stops
and the eyes in which he sees so much
have widened in horror,

If lust took on a form
it presented itself in the shape of a man
Untamed and wild in all elements
A creature struggling to corrupt yet escape its own insanity

And while she slept at night
The others cried in fear
and trembled like ice across his skin
Wet and cool
Running in thick droplets along an undefined course

She bled on the floor and could only stare
Stare as a pool formed
Hot and sticky, clinging to her body as if to climb back in
Afraid to separate itself

He danced in the rain with me
But on the phone he is nothing,
Nothing more than an outsider
Banging on the window

In one corner,
She prays for death
and when it's foggy out, and no one is looking,
She jumps the bridge.
Her eyes frozen
Gazing at the water
Where she will soon drown.

In another corner,
he slices his wrist
And burns his hand
the pain he should feel is no longer present
He hit a vein..on his neck
and in a split second
a pain erupts in his head while
Blood explodes,
soon covering his limp body on the floor.

Society has a vein,
And trust me when I say it bleeds... [comments] => 1 [counter] => 435 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Inevitable [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
