Array ( [sid] => 11225 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Anorexic Life [time] => 2003-01-25 16:00:00 [hometext] => I have always had issues with food, and I hope this poem helps you understand what it's like to live with an eating disorder. [bodytext] => I am going on a diet today
Only 200 calories will be allowed I say
No more cookies or ice cream or anything sweet
I will win by being thin and that is my treat
Exercise is essential and I will stay on task
My body will be perfect and I will be skinny at last
I want my bones to stick out and my stomach to be flat
I will waste away until there is no more fat
The numbers on the scale keep going down
But I am still not satisfied with the result I have found
My Mom is worried and tries to make me eat
But I don't give up, I refuse to be beat
All the models and actors are wafer thin
Is looking like them such an extraordinary sin?
I feel faint and tired yet I still lose weight
and a hospital bed is my inevitable fate
But I refuse to lose and wont give it a rest
and I realize that starving yourself
doesn't make you the best [comments] => 3 [counter] => 293 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Fiona [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Wow this was good I can't understand why ppl would not want to eat. I've struggled with a lot of things. I tried not eating for 3 days and couldn't do it. This has the potential to open lots of ppl's eyes and I am surprised why not more ppl read it. I thank you for posting this.

did you write this from experience or just because?
coz well if you were a true ana
your mum would have never known
until she realised
you had dissapeared
unless of course you were doing it for attention
which is what gives all us real ana's a bad name
and makes everyone think
"oh shes just doing it for attention"
