And loss of faith
She sits alone
And falls from grace

On the window sill
She hangs her dreams
Let the sun shine through them
Like distant memories

With shadow's life awakens
The final, darkest call
She sits in pain, alone
Through life, she slowly falls

And her dreams? Well they just die
In the soft lit day
And she sits and she sighs
Without anything to say

Let sun shine through them
Like painted, stained art
Flitter through and flicker soft
Tear through torn heart

You let her cry
Tears fall from her face
As she sits on her window sill
A silent disgrace

The girl is lonely
The girl has done no wrong
The girl wishes to die
She wants to belong....

And then one day
The girl is no more
Her flittered, hung up dreams—
Twirling in the light.
Basking in tear-stained glass
She is gone
And no one cares,
But eventually they seek
And when they do find,
Then they speak

"Oh goodness she is dead!"
"But why oh why? She was my friend?"

Alas but sweet lies are like sweet honey when she dies,
And each passerby has something to say:
"Her death was such a surprise!"

Ah but such sweet, neatly wrapped lies
Are so abundant now:

"And if she was only here!"

Hypocrites hide behind unfeeling tears.

And through the untruths
Their claims of friendships fall through,
When the funeral holds no one
But a solitary priest
Who lays a rose
At the stone

The grave is grey and cheap
And the sun is hidden
The burial is lone and forgotten
The solitary rose died long ago
And the harsh wind is cold
And the girl that once was:
Quiet and alone in life
Is so too, the same in death
And on her grave
There is but one thing said:

"Here lies the girl on the window sill.
A rose never to be forgotten,
Found alone in her bed
Though, at first,
No one noticed she was dead"

Sweet lies of the window sill girl
Who just needed somebody to be there.
Silly window sill girl,

No one ever did care.

How very sad that anyone would have to live an empty solitary life like that. Sickly funny how the accolades come after they don't have to actually deal with her. She is not alone or lacking anything in Heaven. That is where happiness is for those that never knew it on earth.

A truly heartbreaking write. However, it's beautifully written.
