How much more lovely the trees look
In a new light. Garden of gardens,
Anything could grow here.

My footsteps fall where they will
In the vivid leaf-carpet
Of this strange new world, happy
To be free of my control. I concur.
I should have stopped before,
Studied the deep waters,
And learned the principles of fighter-love
Before ever swinging a sword.
I see a little better now.
It is the difference between
Making a maelstrom of everyday,
And light-music firing up the soul.
As it should,
And does today.

I can go back to the beginning
Now that I’ve put pits behind me

Ah, Poet... this is soul-singing! It is, I think, definitely the strongest of the three and it leaves me, really, wishing it wasn't the last. What a beautiful journey! I'm half inclined to try and put my feet into your footprints and follow your path (the way, I'm imagining, a child might step gingerly through the snow, in another's footsteps). Oh but yes, I know... we each must find our own path if we've any hope for this sort of enlightenment. Well, well done!

| This is great poetry, the kind that paints picture that is a dangerous kind to paint, because, More often then not, the end result is a cliche`. But not here. This is writing from someone who knows the ins and outs of of his own work. This is down to a pathology. |

I re-read this series tonight.
" It is the difference between... " and yet it is between the differences, that the "Fighter Love" exists. In the cohesive bonding of opposites, there is bound to be struggles of one sort or another. For me ... that is where I find these words ... this series ... takes me. The absolute awareness that there are indeed ... some things worth fighting for.
