This BANDANA looks good...
NO, wear the HAT.
BUT I LIKE THESE SHOES,
They don't look good with the dress,
MOM I like my hair like this,
You look a mess.
Don't wear that necklace,
Please not those boots...
Mom SIT DOWN for a minute
I think you need to reboot.
I like these clothes
And the way that I dress,
It's MY SENIOR YEAR...
It's FASHION, not a mess.
*~Sigh~* Ok I'll wear the pantsuit
If I can have a picture in my jeans,
And I'll wear the locket too,
If you'll let me wear my hoop earrings.
OK the shoes CAN go...
But I REFUSE to wear heels...
I think we've reached a compromise,

this poem reminded me of our many fights my daughter and I use to have concerning her way of dress.

Good thought-provoking write.
It brings back memories of my dad and his futile attempts to get me to cut my hair and 'wear a vest'. Bah! Vests are for the weak!
lol.
He was right about drinking water, though.
