No comments or reads are necessary for this poem [bodytext] => Champion the cause of those who falter
Bless the one whose always being cursed
Lift the burdens from the one who carries
things within his heart that he can not verse

If I have helped you walk through the dark valley
Do not lead me to a path that is despair
Don't place upon your neighbor heavy burdens
he already lives a life with many cares

I think that every person is important
especially the ones who help others
I think that every person has a wellspring
where sweet or bitter waters gather in

But what we give to others can be sweetened
if salt has made our burdens hard to bear
every story has a lesson
if u look hard enough
every purpose soon will be laid bare

If i helped you to find joy for just a moment
If I made you rethink actions to give up
Don't cast people upon the rock of torment
encourage them with sweet words in their cup

I know my speech seems to be in riddles
but really all is clear and plain as day
show me a discouraging person
I'll show you someone who has hidden pain

It does not take to much to help when you are happy
it takes much more to help when you're in pain.

*sue* is so happy to see Archie post again. Welcome back my dear friend. Once a poet always a poet. You have a big, pure heart of gold Archie. A remarkable and excellently penned piece of poetry.

It does not take to much to help when you are happy
it takes much more to help when you're in pain.

You absolutely nailed it with this my dear friend. Well done.
*hugs*

ARCHIE!!!!! How wonderful to see you back again, and posting too! You and your work have been missed. I must say though---that author's note...no comments or reads are necessary for this poem...Yeah right! I beg to differ!! This is a thought-provoking write, and the message is clear. It's an important one too, and you couldn't have said it better. Hard to pick a favourite part here, but I'll say the fourth stanza is my fave, with the fifth stanza bearing the most important part of your message. Love that ending too, and so very, very true. Very good write Arch...Welcome back : )

Scorp.

Well written and it sends a good message. I think that this is a poem that should be read. It shares a concept of people helping people; and we sure need plenty of that.

Well done,

Will
